If you are a beginner in Judo and want to know more Judo strokes and techniques or even if you already practice for some time and are curious to see if you discover any more moves, then this article is for you.
I do not know how much you notice about Judo, so I’m going to give you a quick introduction to Judo before I show you.
Judo techniques are based on making the opponent fall with their backs projecting it somehow on the ground or that ends up being subjugated with a maneuver of imprisonment.
It is following these same goals that the techniques divide into two main groups:
- Nage-Waza(standing techniques)
- Katama-Waza(techniques on the floor)
These groups still divide more, as we will see now, along with some of the techniques of each group.
List of Scores and Techniques of Judo
Tea waza (Arm Techniques)
Koshi-waza (Hip Technique)
Ashi-waza (Leg Technique)
Sutemi-Waza (Sacrifice Technique)
Osaekomi-waza (Immobilization Techniques)
Shime-waza (Strangulation Techniques)
Kansetsu-waza (Key Arm Technique)
As you can see, there are many different techniques in Judo, although some look alike, both in movement and in name.
We do not list any of the forbidden blows but they do exist … They were prohibited because they called into question the physical integrity of the judo.
